Our lives revolve around our kids – that’s the deal. And I know that when you book me for a family photo session, you’re looking to capture their childhood. I also appreciate that you might not feel ready to jump in front of the camera yourself, and focussing on the kids feels easier.
The thing is, I want to photograph you too. Not just for your children when they’re older – and being present in your family photos is a whole other subject I could talk about for hours – but for you.
On International Women’s Day I wanted to share some of my favourite photos of mums, aunties and grandmothers from my family photo sessions.
Some of these images are portraits, some are candid moments and others capture the grown-up generations together. I’ll work around your comfort zone and talk to you about what you’d like. There’s zero pressure. And the best bit is, if and when I take your portrait you might not even notice me doing it!
Get in touch to book your family photo session in Cambridge or Ely. We all love photos of our children, but every now and again it can be all about the grown-ups. It can be all about you.
